2015 Year in Review

Fort Carson Family Homes thanks our residents for another great year!
2015 has truly been an eventful year for Fort Carson Family Homes. While Resident Specialists were busy signing leases and welcoming new residents to our community, LifeWorks Coordinators planned innovative and engaging events, and Maintenance Technicians kept homes in tip-top shape. It’s been a great year, and we’d like to take the time to thank the community at Fort Carson Family Homes for their ongoing support and recap some of this year’s highlights.

This year, Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation provided 53 academic scholarships to children of active-duty military members residing at BBC-managed properties. One scholarship winner resided here at Fort Carson Family Homes.

This year we had many community updates including:
- We welcomed 357 new residents this year!
- We also welcomed five new employee to the team- be sure to stop by the Community Management Office and say hello!

Our LifeWorks program strives to strengthen community relationships by providing events for residents of all ages to engage in a variety of social and learning activities. Programs are held throughout the year and are free for our residents. In 2015, Fort Carson Family Homes hosted 54 events with more than 1671 residents in attendance!

A few of our memorable events from 2015 include:
- Our annual Pumpkin Patch- we gave away 5,000 pumpkins this year!
- Santa Parade- Santa, his elf and the Garrison Commander toured the villages and greeted residents with candy canes.
- Stocking Stuffer- Residents were given a holiday stocking to fill with toys and gifts, then join Santa for a photo!

This year, Fort Carson Family Homes’ sustainability achievements include solar panel installation in Navajo North & South and our maintenance facility. In 2016, we plan to add solar panels in three villages, approximately 206 homes.

An enhanced PCS rewards program has been rolled out across all military properties managed by Balfour Beatty Communities and we welcome all PCSing residents to take advantage of this opportunity. If you are a current resident and choose to live with another BBC-managed community, our staff will assist you with a streamlined transfer and you can receive a $100 reward!

In 2015, we also entered into a partnership with other military housing agencies to make PCS moves easier. No matter the installation, we can refer you to your new housing management office – whether a Balfour Beatty Communities, Winn, United or Corvias community. More information will be provided during the move-out process.

At Fort Carson Family Homes, we are committed to providing high quality homes in welcoming, safe communities so that residents have a positive experience living with us.
